Selling or trading things you swore would die with you, to buy other stuff you swear will die with you.

October 12, 2015 by evpcd

With us crazy collectors the hunt for “stuff” is never over. With me while I can say, ” Yeah I’ve been looking for one of these or one of those for years.” I find it’s more about what’s out there that I don’t know about. What I have never seen before and don’t even know exists. That’s the thrilling and exciting part of the hunt for me. Finding stuff and being offered pieces that I’ve never seen. Over the years […]

The Rolling Stones perform on Ready, Steady, Go! November 22, 1963. After their performance they hear President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

April 24, 2015 by evpcd

November 22, 1963. Most of us remember that day. Not because The Rolling Stones made their second appearance on the teen show Ready, Steady Go! Because the excitement was dampened by the shocking news they heard after their performance. President John F. Kennedy had been shot in Dallas Texas. The following items are extremely rare. A historically significant set of Stones signatures on a very rare and unique item. A ticket from that Ready, Steady, Go! show. Signed on that […]

Someone stole Mick Jagger’s Maraca. And I found it.

August 14, 2014 by evpcd

What a fantastic story and great piece to be able to add to my collection thanks to a good friend who connected me with the owner. One of Mick Jagger’s Maracas from a concert in Albany, NY April 29, 1965. This maraca has see a lot of wear and use. The wood has weathered over the years and it has a wonderful deep warm patina to it. It is roughly 49 years old. The maraca is in the original condition […]

The Rolling Stones autographs. The “real deals” are there, you just have to do your homework.

March 31, 2013 by evpcd

Probably the one question I’m asked constantly by those who know I collect or have seen my collection is, “How do you know it’s real?” My answer is usually, “I just know.” As easy as that sounds, it’s not that easy. But with a little work you will know, and you can protect yourself and your collection. Start with the simple notion that 95% of autographs sold on eBay and through memorabilia sites are fakes. Yup, 95%. Why is that? […]

1966 The Rolling Stones Tour of Britain. And another great signed program.

March 20, 2013 by evpcd

The Rolling Stones‘ 1966 British Tour was a concert tour by the band. The tour commenced on September 23 and concluded on October 9, 1966. I’ve been fortunate to have been able to pick up my second signed program from the 1966 tour, the first being the American tour seen below. The newest is from the 1966 British tour with a beautiful clean set of signatures on the “A Biography By Charlie Watts” page inside the program. Artwork by of […]

Keith Richards and Les Paul. A match made in heaven.

November 14, 2012 by evpcd

With a music career that has now hit 50 years (The Rolling Stones performed their first gig on July 12, 1962), Keith (Keef) Richards has played just about every guitar under the sun. He puts his collection at “about 500”, which, amazingly, means he’s acquired a guitar every five weeks, on average, since 1962. Many of these have been Gibson guitars, some with legendary status. Here are just a few of the Gibson guitars Richards has riffed on. 1959 Gibson […]

When Keith Richards uses your office as a closet, what do you do?

February 27, 2010 by evpcd

Art Collins Vice President of Rolling Stones Records from 1981-1986, experienced a thing or two in his time with the band, as this post and story will attest to. Like his office being used by Keith Richards to store various items of clothing. Specifically the black leather jacket you see pictured. When I bought this item, I was as fascinated by the story, as I was being able to buy such an iconic item belonging to the legend himself. What […]

Keith Richards likes to sleep and answer letters from fans.

January 31, 2010 by evpcd

I recently bought this written letter from Keith Richards to a fan. I still find it amazing back in the day these guys actually DID answer fan mail regardless of how brief the note was and how busy they were. What was a real treat was to see the original letter from the fan that came with the signed Keith note. Goes to show you the passion the fans had at the time, what they were interested in knowing about […]

Keith Richards signed a lot of stuff over the years. And he got tired of writing his name.

September 13, 2009 by evpcd

When you’re Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, people want you. They want stuff from you. A hello, a handshake, maybe even a kiss. But mostly, they want your autograph or picture with them. They’ll chase you into bathrooms, around airports, in and out of cars, restaurants, before concerts after concerts, in and out of hotel lobbies and clubs, anywhere they can get to to sign a scrap of paper, a picture or an album. Just to say they have […]
